10 features of Snow Leopard that we did not see during the WWDC Keynote
During the WWDC Keynote was next updates of the Macbook Pro line and the new iPhone 3G S also addresses a number of characteristics of Snow Leopard, the successor to Leopard, we can expect in September. Bertrand Serlet said in his familiar French-English accent including performance improvements, the rewritten Finder, Safari and Quicktime 4, followed by a demo of Craig Federighi which further innovations in the small canvases were done.
However, there are other interesting properties of Snow Leopard which was not discussed. Mac | Life continued then for us in a nutshell:
1. Multi-Touch all the way
Older MacBooks with Multi-Touch track pads that are still unable to use the Multi-Touch gestures like the ability to browse and rotate photos, will be using Snow Leopard can.

2. Faster shutdown and wake
In Snow Leopard, the shutdown and wake up your Mac back to about 75% faster.
3. Higher resolution video iChat
Snow Leopard raises the maximum resolution that can be used in iChat to 640 x 480 pixels, four times as much as in Leopard. Video chat is a whole other experience.
4. Better access to services
You can Snow Leopard services that you have little or no use now manually on and off.
5. Flight Integration
The snow leopard recognize, like phone numbers and data, including flight numbers and links this equal to the Flight Tracker widget in Dashboard. Unfortunately, this widget only American flights, so much we will not have in Europe.
6. Split-view terminal
Good news for fans Terminal. The Terminal window can be in Snow Leopard to be divided in two for a better view to have different activities.
7. Airport signal strength reading
The Airport menu in Snow Leopard is also what the signal strength of the various networks, a much more accurate than the four indents of the Airport icon. It is thus easier for the strongest network signal to detect.
8. iChat takes less bandwidth
iChat will be in Snow Leopard but still one third of the bandwidth for DVD-quality picture display. Music and film downloads during video chat should be no problem.
9. Automatic spelling correction
TextEdit will be Snow Leopard common typing errors automatically corrected.
10. Web spots
A property that we already know the iPhone is Web spots, a feature in Safari that you can jump around between different parts of a web page and thus faster to the most important information you can navigate.
