The Start menu in Windows vista incorporates a search engine, for faster execution activate a simple and effective trick.

Click the right mouse button on the start button and select properties. In the window that appears, make sure that the card is selected and start menu, from this, click on Customize.

Scroll through the list that appears, and remove the checkmark from the search box in communications.
