DataWind announced PocketSurfer3, a Mobile Internet Device with a large 5-inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 240 pixels.

The case, slim and elegant, measuring 152 x 75 x 15 mm for a weight of 174 grams. The opening in the shell sports a QWERTY keyboard with metallic finish, similar to that of the Motorola RAZR, and the small touchpad placed in the top right. The device also includes a GPS receiver, while the autonomy of the battery is 4 hours.

Connectivity is ensured by a quad band GPRS modem which, according to the manufacturer, guarantees a higher download speed compared to similar products due to a particular link that compresses the data in order to bring down the costs of connection.
