YouTube doubles the capacity for downloading videos
To help distribute high definition content, YouTube has decided to increase from 1 to 2 GB size of videos that are available for download on the platform.
To attract even more video content on its platform, YouTube, owned by Google, has just increased the size of videos that can be downloaded from the site. Youtube now allows distribution of up to 2 GB, 1 GB against before.
This increase in capacity would allow users to post more videos in high definition which will be hosted on the platform. Unchanged only limitation: the length of videos, which should not exceed ten minutes.
Although YouTube is a great success, it does not hesitate to improve its service to attract more. According to research firm ComScore, last April, the site for sharing videos has identified 6.8 billion videos viewed in the United States, representing a market share of around 40.7% on the sector of the video online.
